When a Young Person has completed the Beaver Scout Membership Badge and has their uniform they are ready to make the Beaver Scout Promise and be invested as a Beaver Scout. The investiture is a simple ceremony at which the Beavers say their Promise, receive their badges, and are welcomed into the Beaver Scout Colony.
Parents are more than welcome to come and watch the investiture and take photographs. Please check with Bubbles what time you should arrive.
Bubbles: Beavers. Gather Logs.
Beavers move around the hall miming collecting logs and making a log pile in the middle of the hall.
Bubbles: Beavers. Build A Dam!
Beavers make a cricle in the middle of the hall, all holding hands.
Bubbles will ask those who are going to be invested if they are ready to make their Beaver Scout Promise and become a Beaver Scout.
Bubbles reminds the Beavers that their Promise is like the circle, and it must never be broken.
All Beavers and Leaders make the Scout Sign. Everybody says the Beaver Scout Promise together:
The Beaver Scout Promise
I promise that I will do my best,
to be kind and helpful, and to love God.
Bubbles congratulates and welcomes the new Beaver(s) to the 21st Medway Beaver Scout Colony and presents them with their Group neckerchief and woggle, Beaver Scout Membership Badge, Group nametape, District / County badge, log book and certificate.
