News hot off the press... Plans are afoot which will finally see the reopening of Buckmore Park Scout Campsite!

There is still much work to be done, safety checks to be made and final arrangements to be put in place, but it has been proposed that Buckmore Park Scout Campsite will host a reopening camp for members of Medway and Strood Districts in May 2007.

Due to financial difficulties, the commercial Buckmore Park went into administration in April 2003 and despite the hard work and effort by a number of local Scout Leaders to keep the site open for camping, was forced to close entirely in June 2005.

It is expected that there will be a call for help made to all Leaders, Network Members, Explorers and older Scouts for assistance with preparing Buckmore Park Scout Campsite for reopening.
