This is an unmissable opportunity for Scouts in Kent to visit Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Scouts can work towards achieving their Global Conservation Badge whilst having a fun, action packed day, including a safari adventure, facing their fears and getting close to the animals in their natural surroundings.

Key activities include an African safari adventure lasting one and a half hours in safari trucks, keeper talks and animal feeding.

The Kent Scouts Mountaineering Team is providing Scouts with the opportunity to achieve the Scout Expedition Challenge. The Mountaineering Team will provide all of the food and refreshments, Scouts will need walking boots, waterproofs, sleeping bag and mat, a rucksack and one of the Group's hike tents.

This weekend is designed for Scouts to gain the Outdoor Challenge Award. They will have a fun weekend learning new skills that will help them whether they have just come up from Cubs or are on their way to Explorers.

Included in the weekend are: pioneering, map & compass, lamps and stoves, campsite layout, fire lighting, knots, camp gadgets, menu planning, knife, axe and saw, tent pitching, food hygiene, backwoods cooking, camp ovens and much more.

The all inclusive cost for this weekend is £20.00 and forms (distributed by Sverre) must be returned to Kent Scouts before the 21st March 2008.

Medway Scouts run a monthly District Swimming Session for Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. (Sorry, there are age rules for under 8's that restrict Beaver Scouts attending.) Entry is only £1 with your Group Neckerchief.

Beaver Scouts, Cubs and Scouts start again this term on Wednesday 16th January meeting at the hall at the normal times.

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will start back after the summer holiday on Wednesday 5th September. Section Leaders will endeavour to ensure that programmes for the new term are entered onto the website before this date.

THE BIG EVENT is for EVERYONE in Kent Scouts and will be held at The County Showground, Detling, Maidstone. This is your chance to be part of the biggest event ever held in Kent’s recent history.

Kent Scouts are organising a Premiership Day Out for Scouts from all over Kent to go and see our closest Football Premiership team, Charlton Athletic, play Sheffield United on Saturday 21st April.
The cost of £15.00 includes a match day ticket and travel to and from The Valley by coach.

Every year members of our Cub Pack and Scout Troop attend a week long summer camp. This year's camp will be held at Skreens Park Scout Campsite in Roxwell, near Chelmsford in Essex.

Once a month the District runs a swimming session for all Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts in Medway. Normally available are mats, rubber rings, tubes, balls and bricks.
