Games Equipment: One chair for each team plus one extra and one small ball per team plus three or four extra.
You really need at least three teams to play this game. A chair is placed in the middle of the hall and one small ball for each Patrol plus two extra are placed on the chair. Each Patrol sits behind their chair around the edge of the hall at an equal distance from the middle chair. The Patrols number themselves off.
When everybody is ready the Leader calls out a number. The Scout in each Patrol with the number called jumps up, runs to the middle chair, grabs a ball and returns it to their own chair. Scouts may only hold or carry one ball at a time. The Scouts continue to take balls from the middle chair, or when no balls are left in the middle, from other Patrol’s chairs until one Patrol has three balls on their chair.
There should be no interference from other Patrol members and if a ball falls off a chair the person running is responsible for placing it back on the chair. If a turn is taking a long time the Leader may add one or more balls to the chair in the middle to speed things up a bit.
When you have a winner Scouts should return all of the balls to the middle chair and sit down again ready for the next number.
