This is an individual game, although Patrol points may be awarded to the winner of each round. Scouts sit down in a circle allowing enough room for Scouts to run around the outside. It is quite important to emphasise that Scouts do not put their hands on the floor behind them. The Leader walks around the circle numbering off Scouts from 1 to 4 or as appropriate.

When everybody is ready the Leader calls out a number. All of the Scouts with that number jump up and run around the circle in a clockwise direction. The aim of the game is for Scouts to catch up and ‘tag’ all of the Scouts in front of them. When a Scout is tagged they must stay out of the way for the rest of the go. The winner is the last Scout remaining.

When you have a winner everybody sits back down in their place and another number is called.
