Games Equipment: A chair, a small foam ball or bean bag, and a skittle for each Patrol, plus one extra skittle
A skittle is placed in the middle of the hall. Each Patrol sits behind a chair around the edge of the hall facing a skittle a reasonable throwing distance in front of them. A small foam ball or bean bag is placed on every Patrol’s chair. Patrol members number off and the Leader calls numbers in turn.
When a Scout’s number is called they pick up the ball and stand on the chair. While they are getting up two other members of the Patrol must hold the chair steady to prevent accidents and to avoid disqualification. The Scout must throw the ball at the skittle facing them, retrieving it themselves after each throw. Once they have knocked down their own skittle they then attempt to knock down the skittle in the middle. The winner is the first Scout to knock down the skittle in the middle.
